Carhartt x Motown Marvin Beanie
Knitted from cherry tomato coloured acrylic, this Carhartt x Motown Marvin Beanie pays homage to the legendary American singer, songwriter and record producer Marvin Gaye. A modern take on a headwear style Gaye sported throughout his musical career, this hat has an insulating two layer design with a deep stitched crown and a wide rollover cuff. One size suits most thanks to the flexible knit design which has a soft finish that delivers a high level of warmth. Positioned centrally on the front of the cuff a black woven square label features a special Carhartt logo that has been designed especially for the release showing the official Motown record label logo in the signature tone of purple with ‘Carhartt’ lettering underneath.
Seen on the celebrated 1973 album ‘Let’s Get It On’ Marvin Gaye is known for his love for the colour red and a certain beanie that he was seen wearing throughout the later years of his career.
